If you follow me on social media you know that I went to New Orleans for the first time this month. To say that I enjoyed my experience would be an understatement. I had a blast! New Orleans was everything I hoped it would be and more. The trip was a welcomed adventure thanks to Mercedes Benz EQ.

In fact, they hosted an intimate dinner in NOLA to bring together fascinating people and it was a success. The carefully curated guest list included AI, mobility, technology, art and fashion professionals as well as astronaut, Michael J. Massimino. You may recognize him from the Big Bang Theory and his book Spaceman: An Astronaut’s Unlikely Journey to Unlock the Secrets of the Universe. Juliane and Christian who invited me and made sure I was waited on hand and foot, designed and produced an event to remember.

The dinner took place at the Mosquito Supper Club, a family-style dinner concept where 24 guests can reserve a seat for dinner. The Cajun-style decor set the mood for the experience from the Cajun cookbooks on the mantle to the backyard bar. Every detail was well thought out and a reflection of Louisiana culture including the Grammy Award Winning violinist who serenaded us all evening. Dinning in this atmosphere truly felt like home.

The menu consisted of oysters, lagniappe rolls with Steen’s butter, shrimp boulettes, crawfish étouffée, LA rice, spring farmer’s market salad and homemade ice cream & fresh blackberries. Mosquito Supper Club who prides itself on creating an authentic bayou experience also intentionally nurtures relationships with the local farmers, fishermen, crabbers and shrimpers they source their ingredients from.

What is EQ?

Mercedes Benz EQ is the electric mobility branch of Mercedes Benz. They unveiled their upcoming electric Concept EQ SUV at the Paris Motor Show in 2016. The sleek electricity powered vehicle will hit the market before the end of this decade. EQ which stands for “Electric Intelligence”, derived from Mercedes Benz brand values of “Emotion and Intelligence”, is set to revolutionize how consumers engage the road. The EQ team is not stopping there, however. They are developing a thorough electric mobility ecosystem complete with services, technologies, products and innovations.

Contemporary, safe, comfortable and chic, Concept EQ is on the way to becoming the standard for sustainable mobility.

Since I love to drive, I look forward to taking the Mercedes Benz Concept EQ SUV for a spin. But for now, I am glad Mercedes Benz brought us all together to discuss how we can create a better future. I met wonderful likeminded people and that was priceless.

Stay tuned for more from visit to New Orleans and fun Cajun experience.

Stay Conscious & Chic!
