Follow ups are sessions that can vary in length by need. For example, 30 minutes or 15 minutes in length. And they will cover everything from what went right to what needs improvement. At the end of each sessions you will have actionable goals with a plan on how to make that happen.
The initial consultation is a 75-minute zoom appointment where Kim will learn about your lifestyle, your relationship with food, your history with weight gain and weight loss, and what your future health goals are. At the end of the initial consult you will be ready to take on the world.
I work both over zoom and in person. They both work great.
My book is available wherever books are sold. Till? until July.
Great question. I do not work with insurance companies. However, I can provide you with a superbill that will include all the important information you need for reimbursement. I do recommend checking with your insurance company first to find out if they cover dietetic services and for which ones the specifically do. It will speed up your process.
I believe your primary focus should be on eating normally. Which means eating many times over the day. Our culture is big on labelling food , which believe it or not is not very helpful to a person trying to change their diet or lifestyle. it turns out that a person is likely to eat what they think they should rather than what they love and this creates a binge cycle . Eating what you love is getting you to understand food is food and it’s okay that we don’t love the same food. If every one only ate what was “healthy’ we would all be eating kale, but we aren’t. And it’s important to understand the root of why we aren’t.
Yes, I would absolutely love to. Please reach out to me or my assistant, Brenda (brenda@kimshapiramethod.com) and we will set that up.
