Susan Jane Hill was born in Annandale, Sydney, Australia on the 16th of July 1968. She had a talent for writing and art from an early age, but did not follow these pursuits until much later in life. Having spent her life accumulating information through various educational sources and employment, her predominant career was within the banking and finance industry. She married in 1991 and remained so until she was divorced, in 2001. At the age of 50 she decided to pursue a career in writing. She is the author of "My Life Inside the Chrysalis", her first published book and part of a trilogy of works commencing with that which shaped her life from birth until 2020. She is currently also working on a science fiction trilogy, "The Abyssal of the Soul", to be released at a later date. She currently lives in Queensland Australia with her partner, and her 2 cats.

This an very moving account of one woman's journey to be her true self. Susan, like me, grew up in a time well before the Internet and social media. We knew that people like us existed but who were they, where we they? It just seem so impossible to ever be the person we knew we were inside, so we built our walls, our chrysalis. This is Susan's tale if how she first built and then emerged from her prison. I personally see many similarities to my own story, as well as plenty of differences. If you are transgender then hopefully you will find inspiration and strength in her story, and if you are not, then I hope you find understanding. Skye xx
