Each year, National Read Across America Day is celebrated on March 2nd, the birthday of Dr. Seuss. This annual event is part of Read Across America Week, an initiative on reading organized by the National Education Association.

This celebration began in 1997 and was decided to be held on Dr. Seuss' birthday as he was a legendary author of many well-known books read by parents, teachers, and children.

This year, all PK3 through 5th-grade students are invited to celebrate National Read Across America Day and Dr. Seuss's birthday on Wednesday, March 2nd, by wearing a Dr. Seuss shirt or a red, black, or gray shirt with uniform bottoms. In addition, students will have a fun day as they engage in various Dr. Seuss-themed educational activities!
