​Daggerwing Nature Center is operated by the Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department. It is located in Burt Aaronson South County Regional Park at 11435 Park Access Road, off Cain Boulevard between Glades Road and Yamato Road, west of Boca Raton. For more information on Daggerwing Nature Center and other county-operated nature centers, visit www.pbcnature.com. All programs are by reservation only unless otherwise stated. Please register online at www.pbcparks.com; under “Online Services," click on Register/Pay for Program. All participants are required to sign a Program Participation Form before each program. Activities promote environmental awareness, conservation, and recreation.

 

ANIMAL FEEDINGS
Daily, 3:15 p.m.
All ages, FREE (Reservations not required)

3:15 p.m. is feeding time! Listen to a short talk about one of Daggerwing's resident animals and then watch while it's fed. Wednesday - Owl; Thursday - Snake; Friday - Tortoise; Saturday - Alligator

 

BIRDING 101
Saturday, January 6, 10:30 a.m.
Ages 5+, $5/participant (Reservations required)

Learn about the exciting hobby of bird watching. First, join a naturalist who will teach bird identification skills and the proper use of binoculars. Then practice these new skills during a guided birding adventure.

 

DAGGERWING VISITS THE LIBRARY: OWLS

MOTHER NATURE & ME: A IS FOR ALLIGATOR
Tuesday, January 16, 10:30 a.m.
Ages 2-5 (w/guardian), $4/child (Reservations required)

Get ready to jump and shout with Mother Nature through stories, live animals, activities, and a craft specifically designed for toddlers and preschoolers!
