Local Mitigation Strategy  Steering Committee to Hold General Meeting

On Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at 9 a.m., the Palm Beach County Local Mitigation Strategy (LMS) Steering Committee will hold a general meeting of its public and private sector membership. This meeting is open to the public. 

The Palm Beach County Public Safety Department Division of Emergency Management designates the LMS Steering Committee to advise and assist in the administration and oversight of LMS activities and initiatives. Acting as the primary decision and policy body for LMS sponsored mitigation activity, the LMS Steering Committee monitors the implementation of the LMS annually and makes recommendations to jurisdictions and other LMS members regarding how to implement LMS strategies within their jurisdictions.

Topics to be discussed include LMS Revisions update and adoption, Project Prioritization List (PPL) participation, and 2024 and 2025 goals.
