Undiscovered Countries is a New York City-based incubator of new and developing interdisciplinary art. Our Infinite Festival, founded in 2012, is an ongoing series of new and developing live art performing every other month. The festival was founded to create a space for artists to show in-progress work without paying for production, and for audiences to see that work without paying for tickets. The goal of Undiscovered Countries is to foster a diverse, engaged community of artists by uplifting subversive and accessible work lacking conventional support.
For these shows, you can pitch us a piece according to the guidelines, or volunteer to be part of an artistic "Bake Off", in which you create a piece picking elements from a list of "ingredients" we send you. All pieces should:
- last 5-15 minutes
- be self produced and fully realized for performance
- be new and/or in development
- be personally fun or fulfilling for you to make, and engaging and rewarding for an audience to watch
Selected pieces will receive performance space in front of an audience that's supportive of work in development, marketing and technical support, and a modest stipend of $20. If you have any questions, please email us at
