Sometimes life can get in the way of glowing skin  – but that does not mean we should let it! Whether you didn’t get that extra hour of sleep or have been slacking on your beauty routine, we have 5 tips to keep your skin glowing this winter.

  1. H-Y-D-R-A-T-I-O-N

The #1 tip to have people thinking your glow is vacation induced is by drinking water. The cold air usually steers us to drinks like hot cocoa but try swapping it for a cup of warm water and lemon.

  1. Wash your Face in Warm Water

During the winter we are likely to take super hot showers but those hot showers are not necessarily good for your skin. Lukewarm water helps prevent the stripping of any oils from the skin. These oils are important to achieve the ultimate glow.

  1. Moisturize Immediately Afterwards

The key to making the most of your moisturizer is too apply it right away! If you apply your moisturizer right after a lukewarm rinse you are setting yourself up for success. Applying product to damp skin helps seal that dampness into the skin. If you are prone to waiting, try moving your product closer to your shower or sink for a reminder.

  1. Protect

People tend to think they can cool it on the sunscreen in the winter but the truth is – you can’t! Even when you can’t see the sun, it’s still damaging your skin. If you have trouble with multiple products try purchasing a tinted moisturizer that contains sunscreen.

  1. Use DIY Masks

Homemade masks are a fun activity and provide much needed moisture that your skin lacks. Lucky for you we have covered this topic! Search DIY masks on our site for some great recipes.
