La Dame Dj / Producer

First known as dj Carie, she changed her name when in 2018 she started producing music. With releases on Blanc Manioc (FR); Turntables on The Hudson (US), Selvamonos (Peru), Sapyens (CZ), Omakase (FR), Wonderwheel rec (US), Shika Shika (GE), Shango Records (Greece), BeatxChangers (FR), Eyesome (FR), Rebel Up (BE) Banoffee Pies (UK)... La Dame is very prolific. Her originality is to succeed in combining different styles of music, just like in her mixes. She is the specialist to bring non connoisseurs to more alternative sounds, but accessible to the greatest number. Her tracks, anchored in the global club / global bass / breaks scene have been played by famous radios and artists like Mary Anne Hobbs, Tom Ravenscroft and Jamz Supernova on BBC Radio, Madam X on NTS, Flore, Le Motel, Nickodemus, etc.

It's no surprise that this buoyant spirit has played in many places and festivals around the globe: Atmosphere club (Oran), Sisyphos (Berlin), Belmont (Montreal), Nuits Sonores Lyon (Carte Blanche Bruno Patchworks), Casa das Caldeiras (São Paulo), Lux (Lisbon), Le Sucre (Lyon), Kuli Alma (Tel Aviv), Bellevilloise (Paris), C12 (Brussels), Micro festival (Liège), Phoque off (Québec), Kabareet (Haifa). . and among artists like Guts, David Walters, Voilaaa, Dj Marcelle, Jamz Supernova, TSVI, Yoofee, etc. Since 2019, La Dame is installed in Brussels. Her debut in Belgium is promising, as she has already played in renowned venues and festivals: Le Botanique, La Cabane, Esperanzah festival, La Nature festival, Horst festival, Couleur Café festival, etc. She has also become a resident of Kiosk Radio where her monthly show offers a journey between jazz, bass, club, beats, etc.

La Dame has many strings to her bow, one of them being to organize parties, program and unearth talents. She has had two residencies in the past. The first one took place from 2009 to 2012 at La Fée verte Lyon France. As part of the "Bounce da Ass" night (named after Dj Funk's famous club banger), the objective was to promote an overall club atmosphere. She received local and national artists such as Kaptain Kadillac (Paris), Max le Daron (Brussels), Moffo (Tel Aviv), etc. The second residency, at Casa Independente in Lisbon between 2016 and 2019 was called "Itineraries" as it invited each time an artist for a B2B on a specific theme: afrobeats with Rastronaut (PT), hiphop with Deheb (FR), baile funk with Cigarra (BR), funk with dj Kwan (PT), disco with Sumo Sui (NZ), Arabic electro with Freakass E (GE), etc. The third residency was about highlighting women on the global beat stage in La Maison Mère in Lyon (FR). During 2 years, every 2 months she invited plenty talented women from France and abroad like Mambo Chick, Dj Caroll, Badsista, Goldie B, Célélé, etc.
