Help Build "DiYaspora Shops"

Donation protected
We are raising funds to assist in the opening of "DIYASPORA SHOPS"!

DiYaspora Shops, a collaboration between AseAmin & CBTEL, will host the ASEAMIN Healing Center & Botanica. The center is curated by a black non-binary trans spiritual healer of over10 years, whose focus is connecting black queer people to African-diasporic faith and practices, a connection that has been tethered for over 400+ years because of the racist, transphobic and homophobic rhetoric white supremacists have used to demonize and colonize African  LGBTQ people. All while providing accessible safe space for Black LGBTQ+ members around the city.

This outlet will also be an official event space for CBTEL (Philadelphia's Black-Trans Led Reparation's Group)  to meet, do outreach for the community, and host social events.  This space is created to conjoin African-diasporic spirituality and culture and Black LGBTQ+ Indigenous community members.

DiYaspora shops will also feature a pop-up shop: "Jupiter Scouts Hand-Crafted Jewelry".
Jupiter Scout is a non-binary Latinx first-generation American and Philly native that creates jewelry and art based on their interests in the occult, flora & fauna, and their queer identity in addition to custom work such as engagement rings.

One of the most vital assets of this building is the Official CBTEL Event Space, which will be tailored to community gatherings, and other various events directed to showcasing black queer artists of all artistic genres.

DiYaspora shop is and will be a wonderful pivot that's already become a major aide for so many queer black/brown people inside the city of Philadelphia, however, it can't all be done by way of a black indigenous non-binary Philadelphian!

This fund would cover things necessary for the opening and efficient running of this building such as the installation of modern floors, walls,  lighting, accessibility ramp, shelving for products and organization, business licenses, and maintenance of our LLC, website, etc., rent, and more.
Part of the process has started as far as securing the building, the rest will be simpler as we receive donations.  We are asking for donations, and or that you send it to someone who can.

This NB person has put in so much time and effort to make this building possible that this investment has taken a hold of financial aspects in their life. Being the Director of CBTEL has utilized so much of their passion and drive that making this lifelong dream is of the utmost importance, not for solely them but for the entirety of the community.

Creating this space in the midst of a pandemic alongside a racially-charged social climate that only seems to create more anxiety than it does education is not only daring but expensive and taxing as resources are not as available as they may have been this time last year to do something of this capacity. Nevertheless, this is ever-so-important especially after the loss of The Ile Ife Black Humanitarian Center of Philadelphia along with it's cultural and historical relics, which were cornerstones of African art, culture, and religion in this city.

The support would help so much in making this a reality and giving the Philadelphia queer diaspora a chance to bloom into the beautiful and healed community that it can be. We look forward to doing such amazing things for the city.
