Black, queer, trans-nonbinary people deserve access to safe housing, stability, care, and joy without worry.
After losing multiple sources of income due to the COVID-19 pandemic and finishing up an exhausting, incredibly racist graduate school program this spring - all while coping through heavy personal trauma and mental health issues - my friend has been left depleted. Instead of forcing themselves to work during this particularly draining time, they have decided to take a short break to focus on their mental health. However, after draining their savings to support themselves through the pandemic, this break may not be possible without community care.
Nico (they/them), deserves the most support, rest, and ease while they seek to properly care for their illnesses and prepare for the next phase of their life. Please assist me in supporting my dear friend during this time by raising funds necessary to ensure they can remain safely housed throughout the end of the year.
Nico is kind, compassionate, and always doing their best to heal. They have provided so much joy to many of my friends’ lives and my life throughout all of the hardships they endure. Financial support and stability through at least the end of the year will aid them significantly as they continue to navigate through their struggles and traumas. All of the donations will be going towards covering their monthly bills such as rent, gas, electric, and water.
