Announcing PDF Downloads and Bundles

Today we are excited to announce the latest service for readers, collectors, and creators. PDF Downloads and Bundles is now available, offering an option to purchase your favorite comics and manga, and a new way to support your favorite creators.

It was clear from the beginning that this service would need to equally support two different audiences - readers and creators. We’ve taken great care to ensure that both aspects of PDF Downloads and Bundles are feature-rich, easy to use, and quickly accessible.

Let’s get into exactly what that means.

PDF Downloads and Bundles for Creators

PDF Downloads and Bundles is a new optional way to monetize your content, giving you full control over everything. You decide what’s for sale, set the prices, and choose when to discount or bundle releases.

There is one thing you don’t have to worry about: PDF generation. No extra work uploading special releases, it’s all handled by our PDF generation tool.

Simply choose which releases you want to make available as PDF Downloads, set your prices, and hit “Save.”

Price-setting can be found in your creator profile admin by clicking Pricing under PDF Download Sales.

Discounts and Bundles

When we say full control over everything, this includes sales and bundling of releases. We may organize sales events from time to time, but you have the ability to run your own discounts whenever you want.

The same goes for bundling. If you have multiple chapters or releases, you can easily bundle all of the content into a single purchase. Some examples of bundling are first issues, volumes or seasons of a title, franchises, holidays or anniversaries, conventions, themes, and genres.

PDF Downloads and Bundles for Readers

It is now possible to purchase individual releases of comics and manga, permanently unlocking access to that release on GlobalComix and giving you the ability to download a PDF version of it for offline reading.

You can find all titles and releases available for purchase on our new Downloads page, accessed from site navigation at the top of the page on desktop, and in the menu on mobile devices.

Downloads can be filtered and sorted in many of the same ways you’re familiar with on the Comics page, plus it comes with a search bar to narrow the results, and the ability to hide releases you already own.

Bundles

Another optional way to purchase is the Bundles feature. This allows creators and publishers to create bundles – whether series-specific, franchise, thematic, or anything really – so that you can purchase multiple releases at once.

Bundles may even give you the opportunity to purchase multiple releases at a reduced price versus buying them separately. Best of all, you don’t have to pay for anything in a Bundle that you already own.

Discounts

We’ve given creators and publishers full control to run their own sales, whether it’s on individual releases or full bundles. While we may organize platform-wide sales from time to time, all creators and publishers have the freedom to run sales whenever they want to.

You will be able to see this on the Downloads page under each release that has an active sale, with the original price crossed out and the discounted price to the right of it. To help with finding great deals, you can also filter to only display releases with a discount.

Be on the lookout for these discounts. It's a great time to discover new titles to add to your collection.

Finding Your Downloads

Once you’ve purchased a release it will be added to the Downloads section of your profile. You can reach this page through the profile menu by clicking on “Me” in the top-right on desktop and mobile devices.

You can always find and access your digital downloads in this section. If a file is not downloadable yet, it means it's still processing and being generated specifically for you.

To download a PDF, simply locate the release you’d like to download and hit the Download button.

Note: PDF file sizes vary and can be quite large for longer releases – especially collected editions, anthologies, and graphic novels. For mobile users, we recommended activating Wi-fi prior to downloading.
