CAP SUD! 5 000KM À TRAVERS L’ASIE DU SUD-EST POUR LES OCÉANS

Quoi ?

Nous nous lançons dans un ambitieux défi à vélo: la traversée de l’Asie du Sud-Est ! D’Hanoï à Singapour sur nos deux roues, ce sont plus de 5 000km et de nombreuses côtes que vos aventuriers s’apprêtent à affronter !

Pourquoi ?

Ce projet a pour thème principal la restauration et la conservation des fonds marins. Nous souhaitons nous éduquer et partager nos apprentissages sur les enjeux actuels, les différentes solutions locales, et nos rencontres à travers un documentaire et un reportage photo à notre retour. Le tout sera la continuité du projet Sea Academy de la fondation Sulubaaï que nous soutenons grâce à vous!

Qui ?

Tous deux diplômés de l’université McGill à Montréal, Corentin débutera un master en réalisation de documentaire à Berlin en Septembre prochain et Alice souhaite se spécialiser dans la conservation et biodiversité à son retour. Nous formons ainsi un duo naturel avec ce projet, la nature et l’aventure étant un moteur pour tous les deux ! Drone, GoPro, caméra et micro: nous sommes équipés pour laisser notre curiosité nous guider et aller à la rencontre de locaux et passionnés des Océans :)

Comment soutenir notre projet ?

On a besoin de vous pour aider la fondation Sulubaaï, œuvrant depuis plus de 10 ans sur l’île de Palawan dans les Philippines, à financer la création d’un livre éducatif pour les enfants sur la vie sous-marin locale et la restoration de coraux.

Nous avons dans un premier temps un objectif de 5 000 EUR, soit 1km = 1€ !

HEADING SOUTH ! 5 000KM BY BIKE THROUGH SOUTHEAST ASIA FOR THE OCEANS

What ?

In a few days, we will leave for an ambitious challenge: the crossing of South East Asia by bike ! From the Chinese-Vietnamese border to Singapore on our two wheels, your adventurers are about to tackle more than 5,000km and many hills!

Why ?

The main purpose of this project is the restoration and conservation of the ocean. We want to educate ourselves and share our learnings on current issues, local solutions, and encounters through a documentary created upon our return and photo reportage. This will be a continuation of the Sulubaai Foundation project that we will support with your help!

This adventure will also be a physical challenge for the (not quite yet) expert cyclists that we are!

Who ?

Both of us are McGill University graduates, Corentin will start a master's degree in documentary filmmaking in Berlin next September; Alice wants to specialize in conservation and biodiversity. We form a natural duo with this project, nature and adventure being a driving force for both of us! Drone, GoPro, camera and microphone, we are equipped to let our curiosity guide us and meet locals and ocean lovers :)

How to support our project ?

We need your help to help the Sulubaaï Foundation, working for more than 10 years on the island of Palawan in the Philippines, to finance the creation of an educational book for children on local underwater life and coral restoration

Our initial goal is to raise 5,000 EUR, i.e. 1km = 1€!

What will this money be used for?

You can follow our adventures on our Instagram page "WheelseaU". What's on the agenda? Photos/videos of our daily life, discovering local cultures, anecdotes and cultural moments. There will be something for everyone!
