Buffering components made of fine resin are installed between the stainless-steel bezel and case. The shock-resistant structure maintained since the very first G-SHOCK is achieved in a timepiece with a metal exterior. Also, a three-pronged structure is employed for the connective part of the band to disperse shocks to the connecting pipes. Dimpling is applied to metal band pieces to reproduce the look of the resin band design of the very first G-SHOCK. The case back features a screw-lock construction that ensures a tight seal.

The bezel and case undergo meticulous processes of forging, cutting, and polishing, precisely crafting them into robust, powerful forms, down to the intricately shaped back, which is the key to the precision fit.
