Located in Morey St Denis village, Clos de Tart is the largest Grand Cru Monopole in Burgundy. With its singular 900 years of history and location, it makes it one of the most sought-after wines in the Cote d’Or. Alessandro Noli, the former régisseur of Château Grillet, noted the unprecedented early harvest dates from August 24th to 30th, 2020. Alessandro Noli, the former régisseur of Château Grillet, noted the unprecedented early harvest dates from August 24th to 30th. The grapes were impeccably clean, with minimal sorting due to a few sunburned berries. Yields were limited to approximately 20 hl/ha, as the berries contained scarce juice, while the potential alcohol levels averaged 13.8% across the three cuvées. The vinification process was conducted with utmost delicacy, employing no whole clusters for the Morey, around 20% for the La Forge de Tart, and approximately 50% for the Clos. Furthermore, new wood was judiciously restrained, with no new wood for the Morey, 50% for the La Forge, and about 65% for the Clos. The evolution of the wines during the élevage has been highly pleasing, and they are expected to age for many years to come gracefully.
