The 2020 vintage was notable for very hot and dry weather throughout the growing season. Pinot Noir was harvested early, from 19 to 25 August, with yields around 25 hectolitres per hectare. The grapes were notably thick skinned and up to 100% of whole clusters were used in the fermentation. The wines show power and refinement and have the potential to age magnificently.

HIGHLIGHTS OF OTHER VINTAGES

Domaine Dujac Gevrey Chambertin 1er Cru Aux Combottes 2005
Red | 750 ML | Burg 91 - 93
A wonderfully expressive and high-toned nose of cool red berry fruits and hints of spice, earth and minerals serve to introduce sweet and impeccably well-balanced flavors that are sweet, delicious, rich, detailed and altogether serious, packing good punch and energy into a finish that is all grace and harmony. This is a really lovely effort that will age well yet be accessible early on.

Domaine Dujac Vosne Romanee 1er Cru Les Malconsorts 2018
Red | 750 ML | JM 95-98
Colour has not quite settled, but the nose is lovely, with wild cherry aromatics, roses and peonies and an absolutely sumptuous weight of fruit on the palate. Super sensual and brilliantly.

Domaine Dujac Clos St. Denis Grand Cru 2016
Red | 750 ML | JM 94-96
This year’s wine has a vibrant bright colour, with heady succulent fruit on the nose, very delicious. Good tension too, though not quite the same persistence though as Clos de la Roche. Juicily attractive.

ABOUT DUJAC
The wines of Dujac have been described as ‘Perfumed, silky, spicy and elegant, the style consistent and recognizable.’ However they come with a warning: ‘Lovers of four-square, deep-coloured, so-called old-fashioned Burgundy should stay away.’
Jacques Seysses purchased Domaine Graillet in 1967 and renamed it Domaine Dujac. Prior to this he spent two years working with Gérard Potel at Domaine de la Pousse d’Or. The wines quickly attracted attention and praise, with around 80% now exported. A great deal of work has been expended in the vineyards, with the aim of allowing each vineyard to produce the finest fruit possible (varietally accurate and site specific) while preserving organic balance and the integrity of the land. Considerable importance has been paid to clonal selection and choice of rootstocks.
The past decade has seen a transition to the next generation, with Jeremy and his wife Diana and brother Alec playing important roles. The wines continue to show characteristic fragrance, structure and longevity and are in high demand worldwide
