Marquis d'Angerville Bourgogne Rouge 2022
Red | JM 89-90
The Bourgogne will have a few more months elevage. The purple colour is slightly more robust than the PTG. Several plots make up the blend, all below Volnay. The bouquet is more austere, evidently concentrated but less giving in perfume at the moment. Very concentrated raspberry fruit with a lot of structure, both tannins and acidity.

Marquis d'Angerville Volnay 2022
Red | JM 90-92
From two plots, Pluchots and Grands Champs. No new wood. Intense purple. The nose is rather reduced at first but starts to clear quite quickly. The concentration of the vintage shows, without any loss of Volnay elegance, which starts to show in enhanced aromatics at the back of the palate. The tannins are entirely integrated and there is just the right acidity to maintain freshness. Very persistent once again.

Marquis d'Angerville Volnay 1er Cru Les Fremiets 2022
Red | JM 91-94
Mid crimson purple. The vineyard is just above Clos des Angles, and bears some similarity on the nose. However, the fruit is a little deeper, and darker on the palate, good acidity here, just a little more structure all round.
$1,050 / bottle (750ml)
(ETA Mar 2025)

Marquis d'Angerville Volnay 1er Cru
Les Taillepieds 2022
Red | JM 91-93
A fuller deeper purple. The nose seems almost rugged after the absolute grace of Caillerets, but there is a vast underlying density. The intense fresh raspberry fruit fills the mouth, and though this is perhaps less subtle than some, the Taillepieds possesses great potential for the medium to long term.
$1,250 / bottle (750ml)
(ETA Mar 2025)

Marquis d'Angerville Volnay 1er Cru
Les Champans 2022
Red | JM 92-94
The archetype of Volnay for Guillaume, and it prepares the way for Clos des Ducs. A clear bright purple. Today, the nose has a light reduction, but the fruit beneath is light on its feet yet with a fine tensile strength. This has a long backbone. An interesting, complex wine which one could easily pass over too quickly.
$1,250 / bottle (750ml) $2,590 / magnum (1.5L)
(ETA Mar 2025)

Marquis d'Angerville Volnay 1er Cru
Clos des Ducs Monopole 2022
Red | JM 94-97, 5 Star
The grand vin of the domaine is not the deepest in colour. A wonderful perfume, the most delicate of roses yet with a force of its own, while the little red fruits are very subtle too. This is a wonderful gracious and graceful wine, giving me sheer pleasure even in its infancy. It is constructed in so much detail, little pinpricks of red fruited pleasure throughout, with the precision of long-term biodynamics allied to this vintage of entirely healthy fruit.
$2,050 / bottle (750ml) $4,250 / magnum (1.5L)
(ETA Mar 2025)
