Thomas Morey Bourgogne Blanc 2022
White | JM 87
The blend includes a small proportion of purchased fruit from the Côte Chalonnaise. The nose is quite reductive while there is more fruit concentration than expected on the palate, more muscle than is typical of Thomas Morey’s wines.
$215 / bottle (750ml)
(ETA Feb 2025)

Thomas Morey Chassagne Montrachet Blanc 2022
White | JM 90-93
It produced a delightful example from Thomas Morey various plots which are clearly in proper white wine territory. The clean white orchard fruit flows very nicely across the palate to a crisp finish.
$435 / bottle (750ml)
(ETA Feb 2025)

Thomas Morey Santenay Vieilles Vignes 2022
Red | JM 89-92
The vines are very well placed. This makes for a very complete Santenay, with a good depth of colour, ripe red berries on the nose, and considerable substance on the palate, with deep fruit, fine-grained tannins and acidity all in balance.
$285 / bottle (750ml)
(ETA Feb 2025)

Thomas Morey Saint Aubin 1er Cru Les Castets 2022
White | JM 88-91
The 1er Cru Castets, attractive though it is, does not offer significantly more than the excellent village St Aubin. Perhaps the framework is a little more structured, and the wine will age for a little longer.
$375 / bottle (750ml)
(ETA Feb 2025)

Thomas Morey Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru Les Chenevottes 2022
White | JM 91-94
Chenevottes with both white and yellow fruit. The Thomas Morey version is on the cusp of yellow and white, with an ideal balance between the ripeness of the fruit and the crispness of the structure.
$550 / bottle (750ml)
(ETA Feb 2025)

Thomas Morey Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru Les Embrazees 2022
White | JM 90-93
This 2022 is true to form with a plumper style but on today’s tasting not quite the energy of Baudines.
$550 / bottle (750ml)
(ETA Feb 2025)

|
Thomas Morey Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru Clos St. Jean Blanc 2022
White | JM 91-93
The wine is a little less concentrated than in some recent years but shows a graceful expression of white fruit across the palate.
$550 / bottle (750ml)
(ETA Feb 2025)

|
Thomas Morey Maranges 1er Cru La Fussiere 2022
Red | JM 87-89
the darkest colour of the Thomas Morey reds, with a fresh raspberry and currant fruit. On the palate, despite the colour, the fruit comes across as a little less ripe and with firm acidity.
$275 / bottle (750ml)
(ETA Feb 2025)

Thomas Morey Beaune Greves 1er Cru Rouge 2022
Red | JM 90-92
The Domaine has long rows of Beaune Grèves, with pinot planted at the top and bottom of the slope and a section of chardonnay grapes (sold off) in the middle. Great style of the fruit, lightly perfumed on the nose, and a little more substantial on the palate.

(ETA Feb 2025)
