Don't miss this opportunity to create your dream garden with us - read below for more details and reserve your spot today!
Our hands-on workshop is located in Live Oak (95953) the beautiful Sacramento Valley of California at Menagerie Farm & Flower, a private garden rose and fruit farm. Join us for an immersive workshop experience, "Designing A Garden With Roses," where we'll delve into the art of curating and designing your dream home garden. With a limited number of seats available, we know you will develop intimate friendships with your fellow attendees and have exclusive one on one access to the presenters Felicia & Shavonda. This workshop was created to not only give you the hands-on education that only an on-farm educational experience can, but it is designed for you to connect with fellow attendees in an intimate learning environment where friends become like family.
We'll begin our day with a tour of the farm's rose production field with Felicia Alvarez, the farm's founder to see over 200 rose varieties in peak spring bloom. Next, through a dynamic presentation, our guest designer, Shavonda Gardener, will guide you through the process of selecting roses, exploring various garden types (including English, native, and drought-tolerant), and understanding the principles of design theory to create your own cohesive and visually stunning outdoor space.
During the workshop, you'll have the opportunity to participate in a hands-on exercise where you'll brainstorm words and ideas for your ideal garden, allowing you to clarify your vision and inspiration. Shavonda will lead a discussion on important considerations such as shape, size, color, location, fragrance, and more when selecting roses and plants for your ideal garden. Additionally, you'll be introduced to the essential principles for garden design to help you organize your thoughts and provide actionable takeaways for success. Attendees will have the chance to sketch their garden layouts and develop a concrete plan for new garden design or a re-design of their existing garden. Your day on the farm also includes a delightful picnic lunch and refreshments. Whether you're a novice or an experienced gardener, all are invited to partake in this creative journey in garden design.
To cap off the day, we'll host a moderated Q&A session "Garden Design As An Extension of Home" with Shavonda and Felicia, where you can ask questions about how to make your garden an extension of your home and not an afterthought.
Don't miss this opportunity to learn how to transform your outdoor space into a haven of beauty and tranquility. Reserve your spot today and take the first step towards creating the garden of your dreams
