About Fabulae Dramatis.

How do you get to know someone? You can stalk their socials but if you want to bypass small talk and get to know your favorite bands and artists beyond the surface level, this is the place to be. Sometimes the oddball questions allow you to learn the most interesting things about a person and see the varied, unique, and special qualities of a creative mind. Shall we?

About Fabulae Dramatis.

Please introduce the band in the most spontaneous way.

Fabulae Dramatis started as a spontaneous studio project back in 2011 until we felt we needed to bring out our music on stage. We figured it out and now we play with 4 musicians in a repertoire that used to be recorded by 11 to 15 musicians.

What’s something an outsider wouldn’t know about your band?

The band is European and also South American. Since 2 members come originally from Colombia, 1 from Belgium and 1 from Bulgaria. And that Isabel started her career in Central America. We are real world citizens!

What’s the career highlight you’re most proud of?

The step we made from being a complex studio band to an actual live band. With all the implications this carried. Isabel had to adjust to replace 3 types of voices from the previous guest singers and play live some of the instruments we used on the studio versions.

What’s the phone app you use most?

What’s your favorite way to spend a day off?

Isabel: rehearsing with the band, of course! That’s more or less every weekend!

Teo: Rehearsal with the dudes and the lady from Fabulae Dramatis. Be with my family 😉

Kris: Doing absolutely nothing at all, not even trying to think about something. Brain shutdown…

Daniel: Make music with Fabulae and have fun with family and friends.

Are you more of a “play music to live” or a “live to play music” type of person?

Isabel: live to play music!

Teo: Live to play music.

Kris: Live to play music.

Daniel: Live to play music.

How would your 10-year-old self-react to what you do now?

Isabel: of course you had to do all of that now! That’s the natural course of life! You couldn’t help it! 🙂

Teo: Proud that at least one of my dreams (learn to play drums) is slowly becoming true.

Kris: You shoulda started 10 years earlier doing whatcha doing now.

Daniel: Surprised, happy and very proud of all achievements made till now!

What career advice would you give to young musicians in the rock and metal industry?

Play it first of all even if nobody’s listening or watching. Do it because it fulfills you. The rest is an added value.

If you could do it all over again, would you pursue the same career in music?

No doubt about it!
