Our Pastoral Care Mission is “As an authentic and caring community, Stamford uses a positive and purposeful approach to honor diversity, nurture independence and foster compassion.” The advisory curriculum is vertically aligned, so that students progressing through the grade levels at Stamford, graduate with a strong foundation of social-emotional independence, internationally-minded views and skills as lifelong learners.

Welcome to the Middle School! Our comprehensive, data- driven school counselling program supports a thriving culture of care for all students. At our core, we believe in a foundation of collaboration inspired through partnership with students, families, and the greater SAIS community. We serve the needs of our community through a deep commitment to providing a safe and nurturing environment. We see this as essential to advocating for and meeting social-emotional needs of our diverse learners.

Each of the IB programmes is developmentally appropriate for children based on academic, social, and emotional development. As students move from the Primary Years Programme (PYP) to the Middle Years Programme (MYP) various components connect this transition. At Stamford, we are redesigning learning in a digital world to inspire, create, and personalize. Every student learns differently and has different aspirations and accessibility needs. Technology enables students to be supported or to share learning, in ways that help them learn and grow.
