About

I❤️2CR8

I enjoy keeping art journals, working with mixed media, creating scrapbooks, steampunk, blogging, and doing creative things on the computer.

I'm also interested in reading, hiking, camping, family research, photography, travel, etc.

I have been blogging for over 15 years.

I enjoy dressing up as different characters with my hand-decorated books and hats

In the Heart of Africa, there's a Demon Called the Tokoloshe - Who Must Never be Named!

"Every African knows what a Tokoloshe (TOCK-uh-losh-ay) is. Some call it Tikoloshe. It looks like a very nasty looking teddy-bear in appearance, in that it’s head is like that of a teddy-bear, but it has got a thick, sharp, bony ridge on top of its head. The ridge goes from above its forehead to the back of its head, and with this ridge it can knock down an ox by butting it with its head. This creature causes the Black people in certain places to raise their beds on bricks, one brick laid on top of the other one, about 3 feet above the ground.” - Monstropedia.

We have been happily married for almost 50 years; we have one loving son and a devoted daughter-in-law; and we are the proud grandparents of three adorable sons. We have been living in Canada for over 25 years, but we are originally from South Africa. I am bilingual, and Afrikaans is my first language. Read more about me on my blog.

We have a wonderful dog called Erik.
A male Australian Cattle Dog/Border Collie hybrid.
Known in North America as a Texas heeler.

a.k.a. “Blue Border Heeler”.

He was born on 9.2.2017

Erik loves camping, riding on a quad and going to the park.

He is lovable, well-trained, and obedient and he has a sense of humor.

You can see more photos here.

I would love to hear from you.

I am seeking,
I am striving,
I am in it with all my heart.
