When you hear an album described as music for theatre and musical nerds, I knew I had to check this out. I don't think I'm a musical nerd, but my sister in law is! I have heard so much hype around this band and going into this I only knew their song Nothing Matters from the Triple J Hottest 100. Honestly I enjoyed this album a lot more than I expected, I thought I wasn't into country but after hearing this, I might have to try more country in the future. There is no denying that Beyoncé isn't a goddess, and when she takes on a genre, it is worth listening. Her cover of BLACKBIIRD was truly the highlight of this album, especially with all the guests. I'm not a fan of Taylor Swift, but I do appreciate what she has done for music...but listening to this, I found it boring, bland, and full of some of the most cringeworthy lyrics I've ever heard. Honestly, I think she needs to stop working with Jack Antonoff so she can have someone help her with something fresh.
Standout: Florida!!! (and only because of Florence + The Machine)
I have to admit, I loved Oracular Spectacular, but never really got into any other MGMT albums. There is something about this album that feels like they are pulling a lot of influences from some of the past greats, I heard a little Simon and Garfunkel, Flaming Lips and even some David Bowie. It's whimsical and an experience, despite the darker lyrics.
Standouts: Mother Nature, Dancing In Babylon, Bubblegum Dog, People In The Streets, Bubblegum Dog, Nothing Changes
I only realised that Caravan Palace had a new album out because of DarkCat, and like they said in their review "Caravan Palace will make 2 fleshed out, interesting songs per album and then make the rest basic and forgettable, every time" and that proves accurate every time...and yet I still want to hear their albums. I kept hearing This Modern Love in trailers, I’m not sure what film or movie it was for but it reminded me just how good this album is. So I had to pull out Silent Alarm and groove out to this record. This was one of my favourite albums from the post punk revival of the 00’s and I think it was because Bloc Party used a lot of elements from electronica, house and others in their music.

If you don't mind please take a listen to this album it's from a genre called Amapiano and it's a genre very underrepresented in this website which causes some popular albums to be mistakenly labeled as the genre and I feel this album will fix that as it is probably the most influential Amapiano album of all time.
