The War and Treaty delivered a stunning rendition of God Bless America at last night’s episode of SmackDown, as part of WWE's 21st Annual Tribute to the Troops event in Providence, RI, at the Amica Mutual Pavilion. Their voices were powerful, uplifting, and created a spiritual atmosphere. They sang with soul and emotion, and the crowd joined them standing in salute and honor of our country and its servicemen. It was truly an amazing performance.

The War and Treaty is a GRAMMY-nominated married musical duo, Michael and Tanya Trotter. Michael was in the US Army from 2003 to 2007 and served in Iraq from 2004 to 2007. He also won "Military Idol" while serving. The stunning new musical got its first GRAMMY nods for Best New Artist and Best American Roots Song categories. They have also earned their credibility in the industry, having been recognized by various award associations and music institutions.

WWE's Tribute to the Troops started in 2003 and celebrates our US servicemen and women, veterans, and their families. It recognizes their courage, commitment, and dedication to our country and is one of the most patriotic and uplifting shows on TV.

WWE has been supporting the US Armed Forces for many years by visiting almost 400 military bases around the world, gifting free tickets to WWE live events to all US military personnel, and working with military organizations like Hire Heroes USA, a nonprofit organization that provides career coaching and job placement services to veterans and their spouses. Ultimately, their mission is to empower success in the civilian workforce and to assist them in achieving their professional objectives. Hire Heroes USA has helped over 50,000 veterans and their spouses find employment since 2007.

WWE also supports the USO and shares stories of bravery and honoring our nation's heroes through the company's partnership with the National Medal of Honor Museum.
