YouTube Kids Channels for Encouraging Movement

From high-energy dance videos to mindful yoga routines, there's something for everyone on YouTube Kids when it comes to getting kids moving. Whether you're looking to keep kids active during school breaks, or just want to turn screen time into get-out-your-wiggles time, we've got you covered.

These creator channels, available in the separate YouTube Kids app, were reviewed by Common Sense Media's affiliated partner Sensical and chosen for their track record of producing fun, well-made videos that promote movement, mindfulness, and physical health for kids age 2 to 10.

Cosmic Kids Yoga (age 2-4)
Stories, role-playing, and silliness come together to introduce kids to yoga, mindfulness, and relaxation. Little Movers - Educational Kids Dance & Movement (age 2-7)
Little Movers can have BIG moves with these educational dance and movement videos. Watch and dance along with Josh, Victoria, and Declan as they teach the coolest moves. These dance and movement tutorials make the moves accessible to kids by demonstrating first, then slowing things down and calling out the steps. There's also lots of repetition to help viewers learn and practice.


Bari Koral: Kids Yoga, Music & Mindfulness (age 5-7)

Meet Bari, the singer-songwriter and yoga instructor who approaches mindfulness in creative, kid-friendly ways. Bari incorporates yoga, mindfulness, music, and movement in engaging videos that can help viewers learn how to create calm in their lives. These fun videos invite kids to get up and get moving through exercise, dance, and singing along, really making them part of the action. Videos combine music and instruction to motivate kids to be their best (and silliest) selves as they dance, stretch, jump, and wiggle to high-energy tunes.

Get ready to dance your heart out with these fun, colorful music videos. Koo Koo Kanga Roo is a comedy disco duo who make silly dance-along videos that encourage kids to exercise their bodies and their imaginations.


Kidz Bop (age 5-10)
Kidz Bop is the No. 1 music brand for kids in the United States. A diverse group of super-talented kids sing mainstream pop music (with some lyrics changed to make things more kid-friendly). Kids can sing, dance, or even drum along to today's top tunes.


Get Kids Moving (age 8-10)
What do the Black Panther, Princess Jasmine, and Obi-Wan Kenobi have in common?! They're putting the fun into fitness with Get Kids Moving. Even superheroes and wizards need to exercise to stay healthy. This series inspires kids to get moving alongside their favorite movie and TV characters with fun fitness routines.


Jr. NBA (age 8-10)
Shooting, dribbling, teamwork, and respect -- what do these things have in common? Professional basketball players practice all of them. The videos from Jr. NBA cover skills and drills, as well as the fundamental values of the game. In addition to seeing other kids work to develop as players, kids can learn basketball fundamentals from real NBA coaches.
