B. Smyth Dead - R&B Singer Passes Away at 28

R&B singer B. Smyth has passed away at the young age of 28.

The musician died just three weeks after he released his newest single “Twerkaholic, Pt.2″ while in the intensive care unit at the hospital.

The singer, whose real name was Brandon Smith, gained popularity with his YouTube covers and was signed to Motown Records in 2012. His 2014 song “Twerkaholic” was a huge success and he also had songs with artists like 2 Chainz and Future.

Smyth “passed away this morning from respiratory failure after a long battle with pulmonary fibrosis,” his brother announced on Instagram.

“My brother was very excited to see a lot of you create challenges for his latest released single #Twerkoholic part 2 while he was in the ICU, it really brought him a big smile to his face. So on behalf of my brother and my family we want to say thank you to all of you for all of your love & support throughout the years,” his brother added. “We ask for privacy during these difficult times.”
