With the 150th Kentucky Derby just around the corner, we thought it would be fun to rank the best horse names coming to the Sesquicentennial (or the 150th) derby.

Though there are 25 horses on the list right now, only 20 of them will actually take the track. So there is a chance one or more of these horses won’t see the track when the race begins.

Uncle Heavy brings a vibe to the race you could only find at cookouts. Just pure fun. You know he probably won’t win, but it’s fun to have him there nonetheless.

The Greek God of the Underworld should absolutely make it on this list, and he would’ve been higher if some of these names weren’t so interesting.
