š¢ TWO WEEKS NOTICE š¢ The American job market has experienced the most significant job loss numbers in over fifty years.Ā All told, over 38 million workers quit their jobs in 2021.Ā Many refer to it as the āGreat Resignationāā¦ but we prefer the term, theĀ Great Re-Evaluation ā a time for workers toĀ reevaluate what they want for themselves, their futures, and their careers. Itās also a time for employers to re-evaluate their policies and practices, and make changes to keep top talent! Ā We asked our community to share their Great Re-Evaluation stories. All stories are anonymous. Ā Ā ā”ļø Why did you decide to quit your job? I kept hearing my inner voice say "If not now, when?" Ā ā”ļø What was the last straw that made you decide it was time to move on? I had a conference call with my boss,Ā during which she was upset because I had missed two of her calls. It was a repeatedly stated rule that you had to pick up when she calledā¦ no matter what. My own rule was that I didn't take my phone with me into the bathroom. I had missed two calls because, you guessed it, I was in the bathroom. In frustration,Ā I told her I didn't take calls while I was in the bathroom. She continued to push, stating that she wasn't sure I was being forthright about missing the calls due to my bathroom habits. Ā ā”ļø How did you quit? It was amicable, but difficult. I had a team and a lot of responsibility. I gave 3 weeks notice, and offered my sincere gratitude for the experience. I did everything I could to make the transition as seamless as possible. Ā ā”ļø How did your boss respond to your resignation? She was very surprised, but was understanding. She made it clear she didn't want me to leave,Ā but understood my decision. I didn't leave much of an opportunity for her to challenge it. Ā ā”ļø Was there anything your company could have done to retain you? Nope. I was done. I was ready to jump into full-time entrepreneurship. There was nothing that could have kept me there.

Another totally natural, life-giving process that women are asked to hide. Why does breastfeeding make people so uncomfortable? Breastfeeding in public is now legal in all 50 states, but that wasnāt the case until March 2018, as Utah became the final state to allow it. And even with it being legal across the country, many women still donāt feel like thatās entirely the case, stating they feel embarrassed, stigmatized, or uncomfortableāand understandably so when things like šthis happen. Hereās the thing: new mothers are on a pumping schedule. New babies are on an eating schedule. Spontaneous #breastfeeding happens. Itās time to support new mothers and do away with this stigma!

The bill passed its final reading with the approval of 400 of the 415 members of the House of Representatives. šāFor this law, we would like to return rights to the (LGBTQ+ group). We are not giving them rights. These are the fundamental rights that this group of people ā¦ has lost,ā shared Danuphorn Punnakanta, a spokesperson of the governing Pheu Thai party and president of a committee overseeing the #marriageequality bill. The bill will go to the Senate, which rarely rejects legislation that passed in the lower house, and then to the king for royal endorsement. This would make Thailand the first country in Southeast Asia to pass such a law and the third in Asia, after Taiwan and Nepal. š

She needed that hug from her Dad, press conference or not! Parenting is a 24/7 job and Draymond wasn't concerned about the interruption. This is how we normalize caregiving in the workplace and beyond. š

Research shows women board directors are less likely to adhere to board norms. Instead, they want the board to make the best possible decisions. Another finding? According to Harvard Business Review, women are not shy about acknowledging when they donāt know something and are more willing to ask in-depth questions. As a result, the presence of women improves the quality of discussion. Not to mention, more women on boards benefits the bottom line. Companies with women on their boards are 10x more profitable. This is a no-brainer. Promote women. In partnership with Indeed. #InspireInclusion #WomensHistoryMonth

āIām very aware that if I was Oliver Colman, Iād be earningā¦ a lot more than I am,ā shared Olivia Colman, Academy Award winning best actresss. The discussion of pay disparity among male and female Hollywood stars continues, following closely behind the recently-published list of highest paid actors, which included only two women. Recent research also showed that only 30 of the 100 top-grossing movies of 2023 featured women or girls in lead roles, down from 44 in 2022, and the lowest for almost a decade. Women have always been big box-office draws, so why arenāt their contracts reflecting that?
