Memphis student surprised with grand prize in nationwide art contest

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Memphis student was surprised Wednesday with news she won a national art competition.

Nora Faust, a fifth grader at Richland Elementary School, won the K-5 category of SC Johnson Professional's Happy Hands contest.

The contest was aimed at educating students about the importance of hand washing. Students from kindergarten through High School from across the U.S. submitted art showing why hand washing is important, which will go on soap dispensers.

Both Nora and her school will get cash prizes for the big win.
