Hanul came to The New School from South Korea, bringing with her many creative and intellectual interests—and a few fears about life in New York City. Her creative peers in the dual-degree program at Parsons School of Design and Eugene Lang College of Liberal Arts made her “feel at home right away,” though, and Hanul immersed herself in what she calls the university’s “progressive and practical” approach to learning. Hanul’s work today reflects her newfound skills as a conceptual thinker and data visualization designer, which she enriches with her unique artistic vision and interest in topics ranging from fashion and nature to human trafficking.
