Out of 29 CBD tea and coffee products sent for independent testing, 15 (52%) contained the wrong amount of CBD.

These days you can find CBD in almost anything, including tea and coffee. But do these products contain as much CBD as advertised? Are you getting what you paid for?

To answer these questions, we bought 29 CBD-infused tea and coffee products and sent them for independent testing at SC Labs, one of the leading cannabis testing labs in the country.

While some variation is expected for a natural product like hemp-derived CBD, it should still be within reasonable levels. Industry experts recommend that cannabis products should contain cannabinoid levels that are within 10% of the advertised amount.

We compared the test results to the amount and type of CBD listed on the product label and description. Here’s what we found.
