The Folklore Hosts Intimate Dinner for Designers in London

The Folklore Hosts Intimate Dinner for Designers in London

This past week on Thursday June 22, The Folklore Connect held its first designer dinner for 2023 in London, UK. Hosted by founder and CEO Amira Rasool at the Stork restaurant in Mayfair, it was a chance to celebrate community and creativity with some of the talented designers who have all entrusted Connect platform to grow their wholesale businesses.

The intimate setting of the dinner event created the perfect atmosphere to spark meaningful conversations about the fashion wholesale industry, capture memorable moments and make strong connections that set a positive tone ahead of the second half of 2023.

In attendance were designers behind some of the most prolific contemporary ready-to-wear brands based in Africa and the diaspora, including Abiola Olusola, Reni Abina of Rendoll, Paolo Sisiano, ANITABEL’s founder Anita Ebeledike, Nyosi’s Vanessa Ilo and Mimine Agbantou of Mimine AG. Also on the guest list were London-based accessories designers Tola Adeagbo of Florian and LarAllan’s Lara Olutunbi.

The dinner was hosted at London’s leading Pan-African restaurant Stork, with a seasonal menu designed to showcase the culinary richness of the African continent and the diaspora.
