There was a moment at the end of the last season of Succession that perfectly captured why the show has become such a juggernaut. Kendall Roy, son of the ruthless media mogul Logan Roy, has been sent into a press conference to sacrifice himself on behalf of his father. Waystar Royco, the family behemoth, had covered up a series of rapes and murders on a cruise liner that it owned. Kendall has been told to fall on his sword.
