Stafford Gatehouse Theatre has revealed the full cast for its upcoming production of William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, which runs from 23 June to 9 July.

Award-nominated performer Dan Burton, known for his roles in White Christmas and Gypsy, will take on the role of Oberon, while Will Taylor, who has previously appeared in The Play That Goes Wrong and The New Musketeers, will play the role of Puck.

Lucinda Freeburn and Sam Lightfoot-Loftus will join the production as Peaseblossom and Cobweb respectively, while the previously announced Kerry Ellis will play Titania.

The other Athenians are Toby Webster as Theseus and Oyin Orija as Hippolyta. Milly Zero will play Hermia, with Noa Nikita Bleeker taking on the role of Helena. Richard Logun and James Bradwell will play the male lovers Lysander and Demetrius respectively.

The line-up is completed by Jonathan Hyde as Nick Bottom, Amy Revelle as Quince, Megan Marszal as Snug, Olivier Sublet as Flute, Elaine Hua Jones as Starveling, and Daniel Copeland as Snout/Egeus.

The creative team behind the production includes Sean Turner as the director, Chris Whittaker providing the choreography/movement, Stamatis Seraphim as the composer, Jida Akil as costume designer, Anna Phillips as set designer, Barry Smith as lighting designer, and Holly Khan as sound designer.

Stafford Shakespeare producer Mike Groves said: “I am very excited to have this cast on board. Having a cast of 17 is no small feat in the current climate and the whole team has done well to achieve this. The Dream is hilarious and this cast reflects our ambition to thoroughly entertain. Coupled with our contingent of actor-musos, this production is really going to sizzle.”
