About The Artist
Super Smack is on a rapping, dancing, music-making journey to uplift anyone who's ever felt underrepresented. A medley of influences from Outkast to K-Pop to Lin-Manuel Miranda, Smack creates a joyful brand of music that he calls “A-Pop” -- named after his triple identity as Asian, American, Arizonan.
Smack made his debut at SXSW 2019 with the infectious single "Sandra Bullock", which led to him opening for LEX the Lexicon Artist on his first national tour (16 cities in 3 weeks). Over the next year he released 10 singles and his double EP: the energetic "Neon Red" and the introspective "Neon Blue", garnering over 200,000 streams. He has collaborated with Broadway and Hollywood artists including Robin De Jesús (TIK TIK BOOM), Catherine Ricafort (SPONGEBOB), Daveed Diggs (HAMILTON) and Rafael Casal (BLINDSPOTTING). Most recently, he teamed up with Phoenix hip-hop legend Mega Ran on "Black X Gold" and was selected for Rolling Stone's Global Artist Spotlight.
After living in New York City for 12 years, Super Smack recently moved back to his birth city of Phoenix, AZ. With the inspiration of his hometown roots and the support of an audience that's grown fivefold each year, he's begun work on his first full-length album, releasing in Summer 2022.
