Congolese by origin, Karel grew up to the rhythm of Congolese rumba and salsa, and gradually discovered musical styles that would rock his youth: Funk, Disco but also Hip-Hop and RnB.
Residing in Nantes (France) since he was 14, he began his career in this city that adopted him. After having played the first part of the Ivorian artist Molaré, first leader of the Coupé Décalé style in 2012 in Fez, Morocco, everything is linked for Karel: co-production of a few independent titles with the associative structure "Tous Unis sur Terre“ (All United on earth) and participation in FESPAM (Pan-African Music Festival) in July 2013, alongside Passi, Singuila, Youssoupha, Bana C4, Yvonne Chaka Chaka and Brick & Lace.
Note that in February 2013, he received a Golden Tam Tam, Congolese music trophy, in the "Discovery" category for his Renaissance music video.
