ALTERED EGO 2816 1ST AVE NORTH - BEAUTIFUL BILLINGS MONTANA 59101

Altered Ego Lifestyle Store is built on the mission to bring excitement back to brick-and-mortar retail, a culture that has felt lost but is ready to be revived. Our vision celebrates everything artistic and expressive: the spirit of classic record stores, the creativity of music and art, the energy of skateboarding and longboarding, and the underground pulse of trending apparel and fashion.

This store is a continuation of my journey. After curating a legacy with Discontent, which has since been sold, I’ve reached a pivotal moment and it’s time to curate a vision that reflects who I am, not just what a company can take from me. Altered Ego is born from compassion, passion, and self expression and genuine human connection.

At its core, this store is about diversity, inclusivity, and creativity, a place where culture thrives and everyone feels welcome. It’s not just a retail space but a hub where local artists can showcase their work, and the community can grow together.

With efforts like adopting the Billings skatepark and supporting youth and adult culture alike, Altered Ego is more than a store—it is a landmark for alternative lifestyles. A place people talk about, return to, and bring their friends and family to experience.

This is Altered Ego, a lifestyle, a movement, and a home for culture. My name is Rusty Steele and this project is in partnership with my best friend and long time band mate, Matt Ricigliano.
