VI conceptualised by Charles

VI is more than just a number. VI started out as many unfortunate Hellhounds did, in one of Beelzebub's many Hellhound Orphanages. With so many Orphanages in Hell and an ever growing amount of Hellhounds, standards are bound to slip and checks rarely ever happened, in Greed, where VI was held, checks never happened and they was ran however the owner pleased.
This lead to many Orphanages in Greed to be ran like prisons, forced labour till they could leave at 18. To make sure the Orphanage kept track of the hounds, each was branded with a number on their hand, no name ever given, just a number.
VI didn't really take to the work and was known to be a trouble maker or an entertainer depending on which side you view his antics. Mastering slight of hand by 15, and using those skills he was slipping out he and his fellow hounds while the Keepers hadn't a clue. This had lead VI down the dangerous prospect of being a thief, a pickpocket and an escape artist.
When VI aged out, he was difficult, unable to work due to always getting in bother. But being at the very bottom of Hell's hierarchy meant very little opportunities. VI was rebellious and decided it was time that the top dogs learnt their lesson.
VI took to the biggest heist he could imagine, stealing a Grimoire, but not just a Goetia's; a Deadly Sin's.
With Mammon and Ozzie at each other's throats, Lucifer in a state, Satan too powerful, Bee constantly surrounded by folk, and Leviathan having 2 heads, the choice was clear; Belphegor, the sweet sleepy sheep of Sloth.
The heist wasn't easy, but it sure beat starving. After obtaining Belphegor's Grimoire, VI took to the human world of Earth. Using his newly acquired magic, getting a human disguise came easy as did the rest of the magic in the Grimoire despite it being of Sin status. VI would use the book to portal himself where he could making sure he could always have food and drink. On the occasional time he would use the book to get into music venues, he developed a enjoyment for Rock, Punk and Metal.
Due to the overuse of Grimoire on Earth and VI's lack of awareness for consequences, he got sloppy and was eventually caught by DHORKS (Demon Hunters of Earth).
Hell had also become aware of VI's transgressions. During an interrogation at DHORKS, a portal whisked VI away. Next thing he knew was waking up in a courtroom in Wrath, shackled and muzzled with the Goetias and Sins looking down on him.
With no means of escape, no representation and no way to speak being a Hellhound. There was no hope for a young VI. But teaching himself lock picking and escape artistry came with its perks; VI was able to pick the lock with a pin he hid in his mouth and free himself from the muzzle. For the first time, a Hellhound could speak in court.
This act infuriated Satan and Mammon, and were gunning for death given the nature of the theft and insubordination against Hell's hierarchy. Till a single Sin raised their hand; Belphegor. The whole court stood silent as they watched her rise and awaken.
Belphegor would grant VI pardon, as not only was bypassing her security impressive, but the ability to read and use a Sin's Grimoire was unheard of. VI would walk free, but as a servant of Belphegor. VI would help improve the Sin's security, and would aid Belle with turning folk in the human world to Sin. Thankfully the Sin of Sloth can be one of enjoyment and entertainment, and would be the star focus of VI's works on Earth.
Inspired by theatrical metal bands of the Nordics, VI would conduct entertainment rituals to allow humans to give in to Sin. While exploring and satanizing, VI became enamoured with Gothic attire, and stories of horror and Vampirism (as well as some Punk inspiration along the way). VI became known as the Hellhound of Whitby, blending in during the biannual Goth Events in his Ritual, Gothic or Punk attire to mesmerise and recruit the Humans.
