A world-renowned sugar artist most recognized for her pioneering work in 3-D cookies and the author of two cookie books, 13 e-books, and an app, Julia travels the globe teaching cookie and cake art. Julia is Past President of the International Association of Culinary Professionals; a James Beard Awards finalist; a TASTE Awards winner; a Cordon d’ Or food writing award winner; Cake Masters 2013 Cookie Artist of the Year; EAGA International Sugar Artist of 2016; and the recipient of the Oklahoma State Sugar Art Show Medal of Honor for her outstanding work in the sugar arts community. When not teaching in person, Julia produces videos for her popular YouTube channel, Recipes for a Sweet Life; oversees Cookie Connection, the world’s largest online cookie decorating community; and designs products for her growing line of cookie decorating tools.
