Tony Sghembo is an Italian original music project where the spirit of early African American blues, the hypnosis of 1960s psychedelic music, the atmosphere of the Californian desert sound and subtle Arabic melodic inflections converge into a distinctive sonic identity.

Performing exclusively original music, the band builds its sound around hypnotic grooves, cinematic atmospheres and an unconventional interplay of instruments and timbres.

Every member is a multi-instrumentalist, allowing musical roles to intertwine naturally and creating a constantly evolving sonic landscape.

At the heart of the band's live setup, the drummer simultaneously plays the bass, creating the core rhythmic foundation. This is complemented by a multi-layered approach in which keyboards are performed alongside live percussion. Instrumental roles constantly overlap, resulting in an unusual distinctive sound.

Tony Sghembo has recorded at Tabasco Recording Studio in Italy and released its music on streaming platforms and on vinyl. The band has performed at Festival Beat (Cremona), Radio Onda d'Urto (Brescia), Posidonia Green Festival (Bogliasco), Neverending Music Festival (Elba Island), Mura Festival (Verona) and Dogshill Republic (Verona), bringing its original live setup to different stages and audiences.
