Astros de Mendoza was formed in October 2012 by Alan Olivas "Olmont" and Diego H. "D2000" while exploring a huge variety of tropical, organic and electric sounds from around the world.
With the experience acquired over the years producing remixes and re-edits of iconic songs, Astros de Mendoza consolidates its trajectory by creating and incorporating original songs into its shows, mixing electronic sounds with a great diversity of musical instruments played live.
Since the release of their first material, they have had the support and global broadcasting of countless musicians, DJs, and producers worldwide, facilitating the recognition and good acceptance of the duet on the most important stages and events in Mexico, such as the RMX 212 festival (2012); Vive Latino in 2013 (considered the most important in Latin America); Mexico City's Zócalo where they played to an audience of more than 55,000 in 2014 and 2016; Careyes Art Festival (2018); Festival Trópico (2019) and Bahidorá Festival (2020), among others.
Additionally, they have toured four times in the biggest European cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, Zaragoza, Cádiz, Bilbao and San Sebastián in Spain; Lisbon in Portugal; Berlin and Cologne in Germany; Paris and Marseilles in France; and Amsterdam and Nijmegen in the Netherlands. In the Americas, they have played in Buenos Aires, Argentina; Bogotá, Manizales and Medellín in Colombia; Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paolo in Brazil; Guatemala City and Austin's SXSW (USA).
The flavor and unique "electrotropical" style of their melodies and irreverent remixes have led to them contributing to the Mexican film, "Elvira, te daría mi vida," the popular Netflix series, "Club de Cuervos" and "La flor más bella," "El repatriado" from Star+ and a couple of unpublished original reversions for the Disney+ series, "Mascara contra caballero." Additionally, they have over one million annual reproductions on digital platforms and more than 1M downloads.
During the pandemic they created songs thematically tailored to comedy standup routines and YouTube videos. They wrote songs for comedians such at Ivan Mendoza , Alex Quiroz , Chaparro Salazar , Alexa Zuart , Lalo Elizarraras , Ricardo Pérez & Slobotzky the latter two of whom are the creators of the podcast La Cotorrisa. They featured as the musical accompaniment for La Cotorrisa during 3 three sold out shows in the Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City in April 2022.
