The Friendship Guide with Grace - Q2

How can I show appreciation to my friends when I don’t have enough time to spend with them?

Person checking the time

Tell them!

✍️ Send a message to say you’re thinking of them or wish them well.

A suggested template: “Hey, was just thinking of you. Been really busy of late but just wanted to know that I appreciate your friendship and hope you’re doing well!”

🖼️ Not a words person? How about send a GIF, a meme, or a sticker to encourage them :)

🎁 Love through gifts! If you know what kind of food they like, you could send them a surprise delivery gift too! Or do something out of the norm like send a random a Grab Gifts voucher?

A suggested template: “Hey, was just thinking of you. Traveling sucks - so here’s a grab gift for you to get to your next destination or when you’re running late! Or you can use it to treat yourself to some tasty snack you’re craving. Miss you pal, hope you’re doing well and know that I value your friendship.”

People checking out messages and songs on phone.

Don’t underestimate the significance and power of a small gesture. We sometimes have the misconception that spending time with friends requires a full day of hanging out, which then makes it feel insurmountable, especially when already faced with a long to-do list.

In fact, a simple text or a short call is equally precious :)

It’s doable to take a few minutes out of your day to reach out to a friend. Just be intentional and genuine. People appreciate feeling remembered and cared for!
