Empowering trans &
non-binary folk to unleash their strength,
feel incredible and build a body that reflects their true selves

Hello Superhuman!

Lovely to meet you! I’m a trans masc non-binary personal trainer dedicated to reshaping fitness into something accessible and inclusive for all my transgender and non-binary family.

I built Fuzz Culture Club so Trans and Non-Binary folk can thrive and work on their journeys together, with support from their community. Welcome to the club!

I had a rough ride navigating my fitness journey, eating disorder recovery and my transition. I had so little support at the time, which is exactly why I ended up becoming a coach. To be the representation and the coach I very much needed all those years ago.

So with that being said! My purpose here is:

  • To offer accessible, compassionate coaching, that meets people where they’re at, accommodating for their lifestyle and needs. We don’t all have the same 24 hours, and that’s okay.

  • To give people autonomy and positively empower folk to build confidence and take the reins on their own journey. You won’t ever find me telling you what to do! We work together.

  • To cultivate an environment built on respect that is completely judgement free, regardless of starting point, ability or prior actions. Everyone is welcome in FCC!

Thanks for stopping by my page, take a look around, and if you’d like to chat to me about joining my team of wonderful superhumans, get in touch and let’s talk about it!

FAQ

  • Yes, this is one of my favourite things to help with! I have helped a huge number of humans prepare and recover from top surgery. I recommend coming to me around 4-6 months pre top surgery, so we have plenty of time to build some strong habits (and some strength) and then anywhere from 6 weeks onwards post top surgery for your recovery support.

  • The cool thing about lifting weights is we can use this to our advantage to create a silhouette that feels a little more us and a little less dysphoric! We can do this regardless of whether you are planning to have gender affirming care or not, so don’t worry if you aren’t planning on having surgery or taking hormones.

Everyone has different views on what makes them feel euphoric in their body, and what affirms their gender. Be it broader shoulders, a wide back, vascular arms, less curves. stronger legs, more defined traps.

I work with everyone based on what they want out of their training. Body recomposition and/or building muscle takes time, so my job is to make that process as sustainable and as enjoyable as possible for you. I want all my people to enjoy their training so don’t worry you won’t be doing 200 push ups a day.

I meet you where you’re at, and write you workout programming that fits in with your life and that you will enjoy.

  • This question goes hand in hand with my answer to the above ‘lifting weights for gender dysphoria’ question.

It an be hugely tough waiting on that list for gender affirming care, I’ve been there. If there’s anything we can do in the interim to make you feel good in your body, coaching can be a game changer.

Moving your body not just for aesthetic goals, but for your mental wellbeing, for your long term health and for body confidence and awareness is extremely underrated.

Everyone deserves to feel good, and while coaching won’t speed up your wait, it can be a great way to take care of yourself mentally and physically in the interim.

  • Absolutely not! I’m happy to take on anyone that wants to train at home, or at the gym, even if you have no equipment.

I definitely recommend some adjustable dumbbells and resistance bands if possible, but if you wanted to start off completely bodyweight only, that is all gravy with me!

  • In the app that I use for coaching, every movement I give you for a workout has an exercise video and an explanation of how to do the movement.

I also do weekly form checks so if you’re comfortable recording videos of any movements you’re wanting feedback on, I will provide you with tips and video feedback on them every week so you know what to tweak to smash that form!

It’s always a little strange at first filming but the progress I see in my humans sky rockets when they send me videos to form check!

  • No zoom workouts I promise! You decide when you workout. After we’ve spoken and decided your starting point, I program all your workouts into an app. It’s completely up to you when you do the sessions, and you can move them around on the schedule as much as you want.

This is why online coaching can be way more convenient to people that in person PT sessions, because you can have far more flexibility with the time that you go to the gym, and aren’t just fighting for the 5/6/7pm slots after work.
