Let me tell you a little bit about me!

I am Certified Nurse Midwife who partners with birthing families to inspire them to become savvy birthers! After spending nearly two decades as a midwife with over 1000 births in the hospital, birth center, and home, I come to understand what it truly means to offer a unique type of healthcare that is unbiased and respectful in every way. 

I am the host of the new podcast “The Savvy Black Birther,” a consultant to specifically BIPOC birthing families seeking advocacy support and education. I am a mentor and educator to aspiring healthcare professionals through Sakina Health, a virtual health service. 

Although I'm retired from hands-on clinical practice, consider me your virtual midwife, a safe place for unbiased evidenced-based empowering information.
