Hi, I’m Sara, also known as @saraxartist — a UK-based painter and illustrator working mainly with acrylics on canvas, occasionally exploring digital media. My art blends realism with hints of abstraction and surrealism, creating quiet, dreamlike scenes that explore emotion, perception, and the boundaries between the familiar and the strange. Much of my inspiration comes from fleeting, intimate moments — the subtle energy between two people, or the quiet beauty of a flower crushed by rain.

Process & Philosophy

Everything in my shop begins with my own two hands — from hand-carved lino prints to original paintings made with care and intention. While some prints are produced via print-on-demand to keep my work accessible, every design is 100% my own creation. No drop shipping or outsourcing — just me, creating what I love. My goal is to craft art that feels honest and personal, offering viewers a sense of calm, stillness, and connection.

Exhibitions & Community

I’ve exhibited in spaces such as My Body, Whose Choice at Out of the Blue Drill Hall and an online show with Phantasmal Gallery exploring liminality. I also regularly take part in local art markets — one of my favourite ways to connect with people and share my work within the community. Through every interaction, I hope to remind others of the beauty in small moments and the quiet power of handmade art.
