Meet Carina of Carina Parry Studios, based in Queensland, Australia.

Carina’s journey in design began in the '80s when she earned her graphic design degree. She worked in advertising agencies and boutique design studios across Adelaide, Perth, the Philippines, and Jakarta, where she settled for a while during her 15 years of travel. A brief shift into teaching English in Jakarta, then went back to Australia in 2004, where she pursued a Master’s in Cross-Disciplinary Art & Design at the University of New South Wales.

After exploring various creative paths, Carina found herself drawn back to art. A chance discovery of Surface Pattern Design reignited her passion, and she hasn’t looked back since.

"I don’t think I have a set style—though maybe I’m wrong! I love to experiment, and after a long break from design, there’s still so much to explore. Every new pattern is an adventure, and knowing people enjoy my work is what keeps me inspired."
