The Cartwheel Pennies are a contemporary folk trio based in Leicestershire.  Since forming in 2024, the band has written a varied collection of original songs influenced by local heritage, social history and contemporary life. Their songs blend storytelling, rich harmonies and intimate arrangements to create a distinctive, captivating sound. They are comfortable playing both lyrical ballads and high-energy folk songs and their live performances draw on their ability to connect to an audience.

The Cartwheel Pennies are Amanda Berry (vocals, flute, whistles), Julie Holland (vocals, piano, guitar) and Liz Wall (vocals, guitar, mandolin). All three members are song writers in their own right and bring a variety of styles to the repertoire in addition to their co-written material.
